What happened to the PSP / PS3 versions actually? anyone knows? - System 3 planned Summer Games and Calif games remakes.

Yesterday, I played the SNES port and I didn't expect much, but it was fun. Back then in the arcades, I was obsessed with this game (like with Mortal Kombat 1&2, Killer Instinct etc.) and I got the Megadrive version for following christmas. It was downgraded, but still good. Nice times!

The Atari 2600 actually had a start up screen.

Sega Saturn is the best one imo

I remember being addicted to this game in the arcade. A shame I never got a chance to play the NES version when it was released.

There are quite a few more ports missing in this video such as the unlicensed Sega SG-1000, Jakks Pacific, PlayStation 2, Xbox and PSP versions. I think this video deserves a remake.

@ 9:43 The sounds from this Atari 2600 version of Donkey Kong were used in video games shown in TV shows.

Impressive. The guy who did the original one said the only reason he did 2 levels was because they wouldn't give him more than a 4k ROM and he didn't have the time to do it the right way.... But this version is excellent here.... especially for the 2600.

I loved the C64 version back then.

I loved this game at the arcade, with the steering wheel that had force back and shake when you you would come off the road, hi and low gears, brake and accelerator pedals, couldn't wait to it came to the home computer, then it did ,I had a C64 , I was shattered, but there was some others systems worse, then I got it on the ps2, redemption.

If you're objective you'll have to admit the Atari 7800 understood the assignment. Great colors and parallax scrolling, especially in the bonus stages.

A big pro for the Amstrad version is that you get to keep the music during gameplay, and I know it really helped me keep going when I played it back in the days. It's a shame you don't get to experience that with the other versions.

Unfun fact: In all (but PSP) versions, after continuing, you lose all your points. Also, There is only one 1-up (by score, can also be changed in the GBA version), which is at 40k.

Was the order random? Not sure why it didn't start with the Apple II ver (original) and then from there? Just strange on the ordering. OCD in me. LOL

UK C64 version from Elite was the best by far

I owned a Commodore 64 and it was almost identical to the arcade. I think that’s on the wrong monitor or something.

I actually prefer the 2600. The music in every other version is very irritating.

Intellivision and GameBoy versions are my favorites. I still have an Intellivision hooked up, and the Burgertime cartridge is usually what's in it.

I had the Commodore 64 version on cartridge.

I would think this game is 32k. Or 64k. The original was only 4k.
